MEET SHANNON

I am happy to be a part of All Minds Welcome — helping to keep the day-to-day operations at the two AMW office locations flowing smoothy. As a former outpatient therapist and yoga instructor, I was drawn to owner Julie Scarpo’s vision and mission for the practice as a multi-disciplinary approach to therapy that integrates counseling, coaching, meditation, and other therapeutic approaches to wellness. In my role here, I am able to continue to serve in the therapy profession while pursuing my doctorate.

WHO I HELP?

For new clients seeking treatment, I’m the first point of contact managing inquiries and insurance questions. I assist the All Minds Welcome practice by answering calls, fulfilling office duties, and creating spreadsheets for every single thing you could ever imagine. My goal is to help the practice run seamlessly and allow the owner and therapists to focus on what they do best: being amazing therapists.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

As a former therapist myself, I apply the non-judgemental supportive approach you can expect from all AMW clinicians. Some of my biggest passions are helping others and staying organized, and my role here at All Minds Welcome is the perfect combination of those qualities.

When I am not at AMW then you will find me?

150% of my spare time, I am a mama to a very high-energy four-year-old Capricorn boy. Additionally, I am currently working on my Ed.D in leadership and education and hope to one day teach adult students about topics I am passionate about such as substance use disorders, preventing overdose, and reducing the stigma of dual disorders. I spend much of my free time working on my dissertation, having coffee with friends, and being outside as much as possible.
