MEET WADED

I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. I received my Masters (M.A.) in Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University in 2016. I am also a Clinician Psychology in my home country of Ecuador. When things get overwhelming, we have the right to seek support. As an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) professional in psychodynamic therapy, my goal is to help you establish emotional balance and personal growth.

It is important to me that my clients feel safe and comfortable in a compassionate environment that is free of judgment. I will help you discover the tools needed to engage in internal exploration, strength identification and self-awareness.

WHO I HELP?

In my experience I have provided mental and behavioral services to children and their families as a Therapeutic Staff Support and Mobile Therapist with in-home services and in the community.

I have worked in Community Mental Health where I’ve gained experience treating various Mental Health Diagnoses that include PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Grief, Bipolar, Adjustment Disorders etc. and I’m currently working in Private Practice where I work with individuals who battle with life struggles along with the results of difficult past experiences.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

As an experienced Bilingual Counselor I utilize an eclectic approach in my practice where I take into consideration the stage and uniqueness of my client’s psychological, emotional and social needs. Some of my approaches in therapy are Person Centered Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Approach, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Approach.

I integrate Sensory Motor techniques as well as Mindfulness and Grounding techniques. In my practice I also apply a Strength Based Modality and Trauma Informed Focus which is why I engaged in the completion of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training.

One of my priorities during therapy is to provide a safe environment for my clients in order to build needed trust for us to work cooperatively towards their preferred goals. In this process we’ll work towards building insight, creating self awareness, skill building to increase emotional regulation, personal improvement and growth. As an individual very much aware of her own multicultural identify and its influence on our lives I find it crucial to be culturally sensitive and aware of each and everyone’s background.

When I am not at AMW then you will find me?

Dancing as I blast music, doing karaoke singing, cuddling with my dog or enjoying time with
friends and family.
